A Piece of Hedman History Returns To Its Roots

Published June 25, 2014 by hedmanperformancegroup

This shot of Bob Hedman standing next to Wally Parks’ famous ’57 Savoy named “Suddenly” is one of the earliest and most famous photos from the Hedman Hedders archives. The guys over at the Hedman shop in Whittier, Calif. were lucky enough to witness this piece of history up close and personal during its stop at the facility this past weekend. A drag racing legend, Mr. Parks was also a huge advocate for Hedman Hedders in its early years. As the Founder, President and Chairman of the Board of the National Hot Rod Association, Wally was the driving force behind making drag racing a legitimate amateur and professional sport and we were honored to have the car for a few hours. For 60 years Hedman has been bringing you the best products made right here in the USA and we are proud to have supplied Wally with the best headers for such a memorable vehicle.
